As predicted my shawl has gotten all of the attention this week and the socks and green sweater have been horribly neglected. Since I plan to wear the shawl to a wedding mid-September this is probably a good thing. The shawl has charts A-E, with 4 repeats of chart B. I'm halfway through the second repeat of chart B.
The lace doesn't look like much now, but it shows a great deal of promise.
I can't wait to see what more of it looks like.
Wow, that is going to be beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWow! I'm new to lace knitting and I can't imagine ever being able to make something that intricate. Very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBelieve it or not this is my first time doing lace. I take it one line (sometimes one stitch) at a time and am in awe of the stuff coming off of my needles. Don't let the complicated looking stuff scare you...sometimes it makes for the best knitting.
DeleteOh wow, that is going to be stunning when it is all done. Isn't one of the best things about lace knitting taking it off the blocking board :)
ReplyDeleteThe shawl looks beautiful.
