Celtic Sock Update

One of the problems of RA is that illnesses usually are like dominos which means that if I catch one bug I'm going to catch three or four before health returns. I'm sorry for the recent absence but I should be back now. Thanks for sticking  with me.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to do much lately, but I am almost finished with the first celtic sock! I'm just about done with the toe, but I wanted to get this posting up before I head to work.

The front cable is gourgeous but the sides haven't been ignored in this pattern. Check out these cute little braids that run around the rest of the sock.

Pattern is "Celtic Spirit" from Sock Club and  the yarn is one of Knit Picks Stroll Tonal Sock Yarns (sorry I can't remember the colorway right now.)

  1. My husband is having a flare up too and is struggling to get back on top, he is also a RA sufferer. Beautiful sock, the pattern is a real delight. Hope you are feeling better soon.

  4. Oh my goodness— stunning, and seriously intimidating! I'm just knitting my first ever socks (the Hermione Everyday Socks...) and I'm a bit nervous about the heel to be sure. I hope someday I can tackle such a beautiful project.

  5. Ooohhh... beautiful! love the color and design. Bless your heart, I hope you get to feeling better fast. My friend suffers with RA, so I get what you're saying. I see you're in Iowa, and have to say I think I'm related to almost everyone in Ottumwa, as well as having family spread out through that great state. The last time I went back there was in 2008, and it felt like my childhood all over again, bunches of wonderful memories. :-D
